933 Large Pair of Italian Torchère in Giltwood - Circa 1825 - Very Rare

These are a truly Exquisite Pair of early 19th century Northern Italian Torchère in Giltwood. They are very impressive and in excellent condition and would need a very grand room or entrance hall to accommodate the stunning classical design statement. The circular dish tops are supported by an elaborately carved pillar with Floral Swags and Carved Venetian Carnival Masks raised on a triform base with Claw feet. The Superlative nature of these pieces would suggest one of Italy's finest makers and although not signed we believe that the most likely place of construction is the Venice/Verona area.  They would have once graced a Grand Italian Palazzo in Nothern Italy in the Venice/Verona area and will be the source of much admiration and comment when they find a new Grand Home in Ireland or abroad.
