030 Rare Antique French Champlevé Enamel Holy Water Font Circa 1870

Museum Quality Large French Holy Water Font with Champlevé enamel work and Hand Painted centre plaque. This stunning Holy Water Font was made during the reign of last french Emperor Napoléon III. The enamel work is magnificent using gorgeous turquoirse blue, royal blue, burgandy, cream, dark blue, burgundy, yellow, pink. It has the finest Champlevé enamel work on Verte marble, mounted on fine brass with hanging loop on back. Below the hand painted plaque is a matching Champlevé lidded font bowl. The most spectaular facet to this French Masterpiece is the superbly hand painted plaque in the centre of The Holy Mother with Child. The quality of the painting is truly magical and the work has to be the work of an Art Master. Good condition.
