Superb Wedgwood 'Butterfly' lustre bowl, Circa 1920-30 by Daisy Makeig Jones , of octagonal form the exterior decorated with gilt illustrations portraying butterflies and further insect reserved against a rich magenta and purple ground, the interior adorned with central rosette roundel, surrounded by butterflies, below a stiff leaf rim border, all reserved against a green to blue lustre ground. The printed gilt mark and pattern number Z4827 to base.
