René Jules Lalique (1860 - 1945, Paris) was a French glass designer known for his creations of glass art, perfume bottles, vases, jewellery, chandeliers, clocks and automobile hood ornaments. The 'Poissons' (fish) bowls and plates are an iconic design of Rene Lalique, first created in 1921.This bowl exhibits a strong blue and good fire in the opalescence. The Condition is excellent. I only deal in original Art Glass pieces from major designers and this amazing plate was purchased from a private collection of Glass in London that i recently sourced.
