Rare Example of an English Grand Tour Regency period brass inlaid Mahogany Inkstand of rectangular outline and generous proportions. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
The entire outer main area with lavish polished brass inlay decoration, complete with central decorative brass carry handle and twin brass screw capped glass inkwells which are original, ending on four bun supports, below the removable pull drawer.
Condition: Good condition, original good surface patination. No losses to brass inlays, few old repairs to mahogany, some staining at central area, see close up image.
