French chisel cast Medieval revival Bombe shaped Lady's Jewlery Casket of Museum quality, made during the second quarter of the Nineteenth Century. Firmly attributed to retailer Maison Boissier Paris France. The slightly dome shaped hinged lid is lavishly decorated depicting scrolling details, each corner with oval cartouche detail, on all four sides with similar cast decoration and four winged cherubs at each corner. The casket is raised on its original very ornate acanthus leaf supports. Condition: Good condition with nice surface patination, professionally re-gold plated. The interior has been re-lined with a luxury dark green woven velvet fabric, beautifully done, lock is present, lacking key. Back and front views are similar.
