This Pair of Large John Varley (1850-1933) Watercolous make for a very striking view. They are dated 1872 and the Artist own hand written notes are on the verso. They are in the original frames which were from Dillions of Dublin and they are very large watercolours. 'Resting by Pyramids' and 'Caravan by Pyramids' were painted 150 years ago and it was very exciting taking them from their frames and seeing the artists notes from the moment of their painting. The dimensions are of the paintings so with frames they are very large. These were a real find and i was fortunate to acquire them.
