This is a Large and Spectacular map of Dublin dating to 1837 and created under the dirction of Sir Thomas Larcom by Ireland Ordnance Survey. This has spectacular detail and came originally as a fold out map which I have now framed with no damage to original condition. Major-General Sir Thomas Aiskew Larcom (1801 – 1879) was a leading official in the early Irish Ordnance Survey. He later became a poor law commissioner, census commissioner and finally executive head of the British administration in Ireland as under-secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland. I have photographed the description detail and please note the dimensions of the framed map - Its Big.
