This is a very beautiful item and I have not seen this type of hand painted Mahogany Shield before. This large and heavy Mahogany Shield bears the Hand Painted Coat of Arms from The House of Windsor and the paintwork is crisp and vivid. The Shield which is wall hanging item is large and heavy so shipping would be expensive. The Coat of Arms of Windsor has the Lion for England, The Unicorn for Scotland and the Harp on the shield for Ireland. The same coat of arms is on the gates of Buckinham Palace. The Date is 1872 on the Shield.
