Stunning Pair French Sevres Style Soft Paste Porcelain and Ormolu Twin Handle Table or Mantle Urns of traditional form, of outstanding quality, and medium size proportions, each raised on a square stepped base with beaded detailing and canted corners.
The twin handles exquisitely modelled as elegant Seahorses. Each central front reserve depicting an adult in Eighteenth Century dress in landscape within a scrolling gilded border, back view is also hand decorated as shown on a rich cobalt blue ground. The dome shaped finial covers with similar decoration.
Condition: Good untouched condition for such early pieces with no losses to porcelain, bronze mounts have wear loss to gilding especially at both bases, see images.
