These are a rare Pair of George III period feldspathic stoneware tankard by Davenport. The light stoneware body is decorated with engine turning to the base. The central body decorated with a hinting scene depicting the death of the fox. The neck of the tankard and top half of the scroll handle is covered in a chocolate brown glaze with gilt to the rim. The tankard holds over a quart. The Condition on both is Good but please note the crack (see picture) to the base of one. They date to Circa 1810 and detail of the decoration is superb.
