A fine example of a solid silver Anglo Indian Gentlemans Cigar Fluid Lighter of traditional form and generous heavy gauge weight. Circa third quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
The main oval body with applied scroll handle modelled as a snake and allover cast decoration depicting Elephants and adult figures, ending on stepped oval base with acanthus leaf detail.
Condition: Perfect condition with no dents or losses, complete with all original necessary parts. No visible marks, tests as Sterling Silver.
Indian silver marks as shown underneath also marks to clasp and hinge.
