This is a Rare Calamander English Sofa Table dating to Circa 1810. Condition - Excellent. The Spectacular Calamader veneer makes for a very striking piece of furniture. The top and drop ends are crossbanded with Satinwood and Rosewood. There are two drawers with Lion Head handles. The top which has dummy drawers on the back is supported with 4 turned columns on a platform base all raisedabove four splayed legs ending on original brass lions paw castors. These are rare pieces in Calamader and command high Valuations. These pieces are in particular demand in the USA where they normally sell for a above €15000.
