Pair French Heavy Gauge Ormolu and Patinated Bronze Single Light Candlesticks of outstanding quality and of extremely rare tall proportions.
Each having a Campana-form candle socket with original firm fitting removable foliate drip pan. The broadening reeded turned bronze central stem with Acanthus terminal, raised on three elaborately leaf-capped bronze paw supports and ending on a plain tri-form inverted base. First half of the Nineteenth Century, possibly Regency period.
Condition: Superb untouched condition, these pieces have been professionally cleaned, some light wear to gilding at plain areas of each base, original firm fitting drip pans.
