These are a superb Pair of Oil on Canvas Paintings by Felix Lenoir. They date to the late 19th Century and are framed in ornate gilt frames. Dutch Marine scenes which we believe may be Amsterdam Circa 1880. Felix Lenoir was an excellent artist and surprisingly produced very few paintings. These are of large size and there is an old repair to one of the paintings - small patch and very well done. The Paintings also have a Millar and Beatty of Grafton Street label to the back. Millar and Beatty were established in 1851 and were a famed as artistic decorators with a base at 14 Grafton Street Dublin. They were traders of high end furniture and fine quality art and decorative items. These frames were by Millar and Beatty who were well known for the French Rococo style. Millar and Beatty designed an interior for the Irish section at the St Louis Exhibition also known as the World's Trade Fair in 1904. Millar and Beatty were also holders of the royal warrant by his majesty the king meaning that goods and services are used by the sovereign or a member of the royal family.
