First quarter of the Nineteenth Century, the square shaped top case enclosing an eight &nbsp;day movement. The well cast ormolu glazed annular dial with black Roman Numerals and breget style moon hands. The movement of eight day duration, regulated by a silk suspended pendulum and striking the hours and halves upon a fine bell, flanked to the right hand side by a seated figure of a classical maiden, all supported on a &nbsp;stepped rectangular well veined marble plinth base applied with bronze reeded and scrolling lined decoration above a leaf-and-tongue bronze band cast in crisp relief, raised on four lavish cast scrolling foliate bronze supports.
