These Majolica winged lions are very striking and pieces from Gerbing and Stephan from this period are very rare indeed. This Pair were sourced in London and have wonderful detail and in good condition. In 1880 Gerbing and Stephan entered the Christmas exhibition of the Austrian museum for industry and art in Vienna, where they won the silver award. Pieces like these are rare and this Pair were sold at a major London Auction house in the mid Seventies. I am delighted to have these at my Gallery where they make a lovely design statement and are much admired.

Height 12" (30.5cm) Width 12" (30.5cm) Depth 6.5" (16cm) Item Sold
