Museum Quality. The Box is signed by Charles Farrouch of Montpelier, one of the top makers in France and one renowned for superior Boulle work. The box is made from Rosewood and intricately brass bound with superb precision. Tortoiseshell, Lapis Lazuli and Malachite are used in the design making this creation a very difficult piece to complete and only the very cream of French Casket making would take this type of challenge on and the result is spectacular. The Box is raised on brass feet and there is a wonderful balance to the overall look of the casket. The Top opens to reveal a fitted interior with storage area. It is very easy to run out of Superlatives with this Box which would make a superb Gift for someone with very special items to store. The original key and lock are present. 'CM' are the inscribed initials on the top of this box

Height 4.5" (12cm) Width 15" (38cm) Depth 11" (28cm) Item Sold
