The painting of <strong>'Harvesting in the field near Kennilworth'</strong> is excellently excuted and maintains its vivid original colours. John Faulkner was an Irish landscape and marine painter in oil and watercolor. He entered the Royal Dublin Society Schools in 1848 and first exhibited in 1852 at the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin. He left Dublin for the United States and exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of The Fine Arts in Philadelphia</span></span> <span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">in 1866 and 1868. He returned to London, where he earned his living by painting watercolors for dealers.
