166 Antique Vintage Lady’s Ormolu Bronze Dore German Jewelery Box Casket Art Nouveau

A beautiful quality Art Nouveau Gilt Bronze Jewelry Casket, made in Germany in c. 1900, firmly attributed to renowned maker Erhard & Sohne. The highly elaborate ormolu metal case is lavishly decorated with Art Nouveau detailing, raised on four finely cast face masks. The casket is heavy and of a larger size than similar examples. The body of the casket is raised on seldom seen decorative feet. The interior is lined with its possibly later dark green velvet, perfect as a miniature treasure trove. Condition: Good condition with nice surface patination, lock is present, key does not activate locking, nice clean interior condition possibly never used. Back and front views are similar.
