Description
This Aynsley Lidded ornate Vase was one of only 150 produced and hand Painted in 1981 to commemorate the Marriage of HRH Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer. The Artist, Mr. R Band is a renowned artist and he has signed the piece. The piece is done in Cobalt Blue with Gold decoration. The main painting on the body depicts Caernarvon Castle (Caernafon) in Wales the place of Prince Charles investiture in 1969. The Cartouches on the verso depict the Royal Coat of Arms with The Welsh Dragon and Prince of Wales Feathers – The second Cartouche details Lady Diana and Prince Charles lineage. Numbered 23 out of 150. This is a super rare item and I was fortunate to locate it in the UK.
