326 Rare Irish Wellington Chest – Figured Walnut – Circa 1840

This Irish Wellington Chest dates to Circa 1840 and is a superb quality piece of Irish Furniture. The Chest is veneered in well figured Walnut and the condition is excellent with original lock and working key. The rectangular top sits above seven graduated drawers with carved lambs tongue corbels either side of the top drawer. The original turned knobs are all present and the chest sits on an enclosed plinth. The chest is locked by the hinged side slide. Registration number on the top drawer – see pictures. We had this hand polished by our Master Restorers and the original  colour now makes for a striking view and the piece’s original rich patina looks great.
