336 Antique Regency Francesco Bartolozzi Hand Colored Stipple Engraving Lady Pair
Regency period hand colored stipple Engraving by Francesco Bartolozzi depicting a mythological figure with a child, complete with its original giltwood ornate frame with its original glazing. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century. A late Georgian hand coloured oval engraving depicting a very elegant Lady Emma Hamilton, a renowned 18th Century English celebrity and artists muse. The original was painted by George Romney which today hangs in the Frick Museum New York, complete with its original giltwood oval frame. This picture is eglomise glazed. circa 1815.
Condition: Both are in very good condition with no imperfections. The backs of both have had the paper replaced, nicely done.
