Description
Pair of French Sevres Soft Paste Enameled Porcelain and Ormolu Twin Handle Table or Mantle Urns of traditional urn form and of outstanding quality, and medium size proportions, each raised on an oval stepped base flanked by acanthus detailing. Complete with original ormolu dome shaped covers with acorn finials. The central front oval reserve depicting Summer Flowers within a gilt surround on a rich cobalt celeste blue ground. Second quarter of the Nineteenth Century, possibly earlier. Condition: Good condition for such early pieces with no losses to porcelain, bronze mounts have been professionally re-gold plated.
