Pair of French Sevres Soft Paste Enameled Porcelain and Ormolu Twin Handle Table or Mantle Urns of traditional urn form and of outstanding quality, and medium size proportions. The hand painted porcelain globe with songbirds and floral decoration on a turquoise blue ground, encircled by a gilt metal circlet with flaming torchère sconces and below a porcelain panel to base, surmounted by a laurel wreath and flanked by lion paw feet ,Third quarter of the Nineteenth Century, possibly earlier. Condition: Good condition for such early pieces with no losses to porcelain, all ormolu areas have been professionally cleaned with no losses to gilding.
