This is a Superb 19th Century French Bronze after the Ancient Roman Sculpture – Girl Playing Knucklebones. The original Hellenistic creation was often copied in Roman Art. The Robe slipping from the shoulder is an iconographic formula indicating Aphrodite. This is a Rare Bronze after the original in The Museum of Berlin.
