Example of a Traditional Brick Layers Heavy Duty Sterling Silver Trowel of unusually large size, complete with its original hand carved bone handle. Last quarter of the Nineteenth Century, dated 1891. Inscription as shown within image. Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses anywhere, some wear to leather case on the outside. Mark of Martin Hall & Co. London Hallmark for 1877. Weight: (trowel including handle) 7.6ozs. (214 grams).
