This is a rare Ceramic Plaque by Emmeline Harris (1853-1930) Nude with Ball – The Plaque is signed and dated 1917 – Harris was Born in London and renowned for her depiction of mythological subjects. She was a frequent exhibitor of such works at both the Royal Academy and in Paris during the late nineteenth century. This plaque with a graceful Art Nouveau lady playing with a ball is typical of her work.
