Thomas Rowlandson (1756-1827) 'Medical Dispatch or Doctor Doubledose killing two birds with one stone' Etching with hand colouring, on wove, with margins, published by Tegg and in good condition. The Freedom from Censorship helped create this distinctive style of satire used in caricature drawings and emerged in England during the reign of George III. Circa 1800 Rowlandson was commissioned by Thomas Tegg to produce works to be sold at Tegg’s ‘Apollo Library’ that catered to the lower sector of the booming caricature business
