069 Sold Stunning Pair French Ormolu and Statutory Marble Urns Late 19thCt

An Exceptionally Fine Quality Heavy Gauge Pair of Ormolu Mounted Statutory Marble Garniture Urns in the Louis XV Style, of Medium Proportions, of French origin. Circa 1885. 

The pedestal urn bodies above a spreading reeded  ormolu socle with lavish cast twin handles, each urn centered with an ormolu decorative motif and mounted with leaf and swag finials, on square shallow plinth bases, each raised on four ormolu toupie feet. 

Condition: The ormolu mounts have been professionally re-gold plated, there are no losses to marble, except a few tiny flea bites.
